Market

(Click on a picture to see a larger version.)

We went to the Saturday morning market. Mostly it looked like a trailer sale, with the difference that we don't usually see Parrot Fish and coconuts for sale here! One old woman was making traditional brooms by tearing strips of bark. A shaved ice vendor seemed to be doing a brisk trade.

You might notice people wearing flowers in their hair. Only women seemed to wear a wreath of flowers, but both men and women habitually wear a flower in the hair, tucked behing the ear. Apparently, you can signal your "availability" by which ear you wear the flower behind, but now I can't remember which is which.
