Graves

There seem to be graves everywhere in the Cook Islands. There are large, well-tended graveyards attached to churches, old ruined graveyards with crumbling concrete or stone tombs, and many, many graves located in people's front yards. We happened to be in Rarotonga during the Catholic feast of All Saints' Day. People decorated the Catholic graves with garlands of flowers, and lit candles at night. It was strikingly beautiful.
